The Real Life Kusakabe House From Studio Ghibli’s My Neighbour Totoro
A full-scale replica of Satsuki and Mei’s house from My Neighbor Totoro was created for the World’s Fair held near Nagoya, in Aichi Commemorative Park, Japan. Hayao Miyazaki’s son Goro designed and oversaw the house’s construction. Tickets for guided tours are available.

BREAKING NOW (8/12/17): Neo-nazis are now using vehicles to attack anti-fascist protesters in Charlottesville. Unclear how many were injured, but it appears very intentional. You can view the attack (at your own caution) around the 7:30 minute mark. (new angle here) If you’re in the surrounding Charlottesville-area, please be as safe as possible out there. These white supremacists animals are committed to instigating an all out race war, and are prepared to attack at the slightest provocation.
BREAKING NEWS (8/12/17): At least one person has died after being intentionally struck by a vehicle during a white nationalist terror attack in Charlottesville. More info to come as it emerges. Prayers to the residents of Charlottesville, the victims of this attack, and the family who has lost a loved one.
UPDATE (4:05PM): It appears, though is unconfirmed, that the driver of the vehicle has been apprehended. To repeat, one person has been confirmed as dead, and at least 19 were injured in this terrorist attack. More to come as it emerges.
